Please see below details regarding the East Volleyball Try-Outs this coming Saturday (29th April 2023) at University of Essex.

When travelling to the venue on Saturday. There are two entrances to the University, one labelled Colchester and the other Wivenhoe, the venue is located via the Wivenhoe (Boundary Road) entrance.
​
The Try-Outs will be held at the University of Essex Sports Complex, which is located here on the campus, the postcode is CO4 3SQ on Boundary Road. I've dropped a pin on google maps, Car Park B is right next to the venue.
​
FYI - There are two venues at the University, the Essex Sports Arena and the Sports Centre, we are in the Sports Centre which is the brick building next to Car Park B.

The times are below for each category;

U15 Girls & U17 Ladies
9:45am - meet at University of Essex Sports Hall Reception
10am - Session Start
1pm - Group Photo
1:10pm - Finish

U15 Boys & U17 Men's
​
12:45pm - meet at University of Essex Sports Hall Reception
1pm - Group Photo
1:10pm - Start
4pm - Finish

When you arrive, you will need to sign in at the front desk with Rees Warren who will be managing the sign-in sheets.
​
There are changing rooms available for the players to change in. Please note, this is open to the public to use as well.
​
There are a couple of vending machines in the Sports Centre. There is a café & shop in the University of Essex Square where parents can get refreshments as well.
​
There is a viewing balcony but this is limited space to view the Try-Outs.
​
If you don't want to stay and watch, Colchester City Centre is a 10 minute drive away where you can explore the 1st Roman City of England.
​
If any injuries / accidents occur during the session, the coaches / centre staff will assist those in need of medical care.
​
Please make sure you bring your trainers, clothes to play in, kneepads if required, sport bottles with lids (no cans, etc allowed in the hall), etc. Please make sure all valuables are kept safe at all times.

Disclaimer - We hope that this does not happen as never has happened before but we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items during the session. Any item brought to the session, should be labelled with your name on it so we can return it if found. Any valuables (i.e. mobiles) are best kept with parents if attending.
​
We look forward to seeing you this Saturday as many players are coming from many different clubs around the Eastern Region.

Please note, there are roadworks on A12 / A14 this weekend so please add some extra time onto your journey to arrive at the venue before the session.
